All students will need a backpack and water bottle in addition to the items listed for each grade level.
Supplies will be provided for AVID students after admission into the program.

Sixth Grade

Dress Code

In general, Stratford Middle’s Standard School Attire policy states that students must wear bottoms that are khaki material (pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, jumper-dresses, etc.) of any color with no rips or holes. No blue jeans. All shirts must have a collar (no skin showing-shoulder, chest, stomach or back). Stratford Gear is the only exception.

Skirts, shorts, skorts, dresses, jumpers-dresses, etc. that are no shorter than 2 inches above the knee (appropriate fit). Skirts must have undergarments (shorts) underneath.
Lightweight, solid colored, hood-free jackets, hood-free sweaters, hood-free sweatshirts, cardigan, vest or blazer
Leggings of any color/pattern when worn under a skirt or dress
Appropriate footwear (sandals are allowed, all shoes must have a strap around the heel for safety; sneakers or other athletic footwear is encouraged and only required for PE classes)
Purses the size of a half-sheet of paper or smaller—all backpacks and purses must remain in the locker during the school day.
Jogger pants of a khaki material only (no sweatpants or spandex jogger pants)

Torn clothing
Clothing that advertises substances illegal for children (e.g. drugs, alcohol, tobacco products)
Clothing with language or writing that is offensive or inappropriate (e.g. profanity)
Sweatpants
Leggings or spandex materials without a dress or skirt that is 2 inches above the knee
Blankets
Sunglasses (not worn on top of head)
No oversized or inappropriate accessories
No earbuds in the ear

Logins and Technology

Laptops will be distributed after the first week of school to all students in good standing who don't owe for lost or damaged laptops. Students will undergo training with the librarian on laptop care before receiving their new laptop.
Students use ClassLink to easily enter one password and access all of the content they need from many web sources. For example, all class content is maintained in Schoology. You can find the link to ClassLink by selecting students at the top of the MNPS.org website or in the MyMNPS folder on school-provided laptops. To log in to ClassLink, click on the Microsoft button and log in with your MNPS (Office365) email and password.
Students can check their grades and attendance at the Campus Portal. Students can download the Campus apps at Campus Student: Google Play | iOS
Students have all the Microsoft Office 365 tools including their email in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Sway, and so much more.
Families needing internet should apply for the Xfinity Free Internet Affordable Connectivity program.
